I plan to use -4, I've been advised its large enough to not need a pressure.restrictor . -6 would a big risk of starving the head of oil.

I run my journal bearing turbo with a -3an of the stock oil pressure sender port. No restrictor. 60ish psi at the turbo. Which the rebuild guys I talk to say run around that for journal bearing. Ball bearing needs a drop of oil to run forever.

-6an makes a nice fuel line. I use that from the firewall to the fuel rail and back

From the pics, it looks just like the filter.... It comes with them and voids the warranty if removed per Turbonetics.....

Quote:

WARNING:
The factory installed oil inlet filter was designed to help prevent contaminates in the lubricating oil from entering and damaging the turbocharger bearing system.
All turbocharger that come from the factory with the pre-installed oil inlet filter are marked with a special tamper evident sealer, if this filter is removed or the sealer is disturbed it will void your factory warranty so please use care when installing or removing fittings that you do not disturb this sealer.
If your turbocharger came with equipped with a water-cooled center housing it must be hooked into the engines coolant system or your warranty may be voided.
If serial number tag is removed or tampered with your warranty will be voided.
Your turbocharger’s wheels have been precision balanced both individually and then as a rotating assembly. If the relationship or position of any of the rotating components changes from the factory setting it will compromise the precision balance of the components and cause the turbocharger to fail prematurely.
There is a tamper evident sealer on the turbine shaft and nut, if this seal is disturbed or removed, your warranty will be voided.

If you run 4AN you will need to run a restrictor as well, or you can run 3AN without a restrictor. I have a full rail to pump fuel setup I just took off my Cavy if you are interested shoot me a PM man. It includes 8AN feed line, billet inline filter, and 255lph inline pump and ractronix hotwire kit.

UPDATE: Got the car running last night. Still need to put the charge pipes on the cold side but im waiting on getting them back from welding still. I had a fuel leak at the gauge i installed so i had to install a new fuel rail. Fired right up no issues. Also i switched the 6an oil feed to a 4an feed. Put a blanket on the turbo for added heat protection. I also installed new black housings to accent the headlights. And yes, i retained a/c!!!!!!

I know from experience that you should wrap the ac line because the oil inside it will cook
