My Header Fixomod

You may have heard of a restomod but this is a fixomod. I pretty much only modify my car to fix things. So when my cat was stolen I decided on a header.

Before paint. I went with VHT Flameproof. Ive always heard it burned off but I decided to try anyway.

Dangling.

Sleeping in my basement for a month.

Then I had to go back to school. Flash time lapse.

Tore down.

This is what came out. It was held up by clothes hangers.

I didnt get a lot of pictures because my uncle was going nuts welding. So I left him to his work. Its a Pacesetter header (I think) with a 2in flex and 2in catless downpipe.

But heres it installed.

And for all of the haters:

Paint is perfect besides needing some fingerprints cleaned off. Thats with a 2 hour 85mph drive under its belt.

And just for more whoring.

Cruising the garage.

Hiding in the bushes.

Sleeping.

good stuff with the VHT meader paint, i blasted a iron manifold for my Quad4 and painted it with that. Went for almost 3 years before specks of rust came back. Then I got Rons header

Good stuff!
I remember when I installed my header how much more mid-ranged power my car had. Brought a big smile to my face!

You can bake it or cure it by heat cycles while on the car. I actually kept mine a little heated by torching the inside a bit between coats, then installed and cured it on the car. Mines been holding up great, and has been pulled on and off the car numerous times. Pretty durable stuff.

My intake sounds like a bov to an untrained ear. Off to screw with people.

Ill grab a video tomorrow.

I cut off my rear O2 because it was froze in the bung and I was in a hurry. No CEL for that. But I did have one kick on. I think its from the upstream O2 not getting hot enough. So I have to wire in a 4 wire heated one.
