THE REAPER-

So many of you have probably been asking yourself who bought it, what happened to it, whats going on. Well I am here to answer those questions. Last year when John Higgens put it up for sale I honestly had no idea what the car meant to the commnunity and my plans were to clean it and race it, what it was ment to do. I figured I would go a little further and rebuild the whole car from the ground up. Since the car was a nothern car for a little while it had some cancer that had to be dealt with but nothing on the frame of the car which was most important. So after picking up the car last may I decided to get down and dirty and get this car back up to tip top shape and start racing it. Since the paint job wassnt too bad I decided to leave it and make it more of a functional car then a show car. First was first rip everything out, motor, suspension, exhaust, interior. I mean everything came out of the car. We then built a dolly for the car to ride on and continued the deconstruction. Once the car was torn down we had to think " what do we wanna do". I was thinking of just fixing what was broken and go on but then I saw boosted aka Fetter build and got inspired. WE knew we were going to add a cage for saftey and a built motor for sure. After a few moths of working on the suspension we decided to do a 5 speed swap, no real track car is an AUTO. So we cut the old brackets off and welded on 5 speed units. After that we worked our way to the motor trying to figure out if we should go turbo NA or Super. WE dicided to keep to the original theme of car TURBO. A dry sump system was needed to help aid in longevity of a track motor. After 1 year and 2 months and tens of thousands spent, the car is running and on the road. Now its not 100% done. It needs a few small touch ups and a tune. For the most part its done. Here is the list of what we have done.

So many of you probably dont know but Jeff and I have teamed up on bulding parts. He is much better as a salesman then myself and we work very well together. This was was built to test all of our parts from oil caps to rear delrin bushings. WE have also started another site Phenolicspacersonline.com check it out. This is the the new REAPER

Most of these items will be available on the site. you will have to e-mail me directly. Also I would like to thank the community as a whole for helping me witht this build its deffiniely been fun. A special thanks to Brad Wheeler he was a big help with motor specs as we worked on desiging the Pistons and Cam system, John Higgen he is an amazing person with a dam computer and HPT, Jeff Lawson well u helped me with pretty much the whole dam build. haha. you know how i feel. its a work of art.

I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.

I remember following the original build of this car, and I couldnt believe the parts he was putting in it back than. I think it was 97/98? If you ever ever decide to get rid of this car, let me know before you decide to part out.
