why the spacer, and how will you make up for that 1/8th in in the external mounts.

and the LSJ clutch is plug and play in f23's if i have this spacer???????

The lsj flywheel is a bit larger than the l61 so the spacer is for clearance. I'm running it as well (well as of tomorrow it'll be in the car lol). Bolt pattern is the same, it's literally just for clearance. Check out my build thread if you want to see a pic. I believe not using the spacer would lead to binding issues.

And the lsj clutch/flywheel is plug and play with the f23, but NOT the l61 block. The lsj uses a 8 bolt flywheel, the l61 (and le5 for what it's worth) are 6 bolt flywheels.

you know I thought about this but never actually did it... aftermarket clutches might clear... well, I guess they do.

the stock LSJ clutch however will NOT clear the F23 bellhousing. I took my spacer out and tightened the trans up, and the engine would NOT move at all. Put the spacer back in, presto freed right up.

the mounts will compensate for the spacer, no sweat.

so far as boost ceiling... honestly, with what I'm planning on trying to do, 15psi is the max. If I really wanted to, I could lift the megasquirt box from the skwirl as well and have it control fuel...........

^^ thanks a lot man =) Miss all you guys!

so the car runs and drives.

the PS relocation works perfectly.

I had some issues with the brakes (one of my crush washers were missing) so I have to re-bleed them during the week.
also ordered some more electrical stuff to clean up the rat's nest I have under the dash (inspired by Vink)

the small battery actually has some balls. starts the engine no problem. we'll see how it is when it gets colder.

for some weird reason, my blower motor no longer works. I think it has to do with my alarm (I think I forgot to put a fuse back in)

updates coming soon.

Bench bleeding is good mmmmmk

Functional setup

Almost ready to rock

as it turns out, my front brake pads were glazed. Swapped them with new ones and the car stops like a champ.

I got the IQ3 working correctly.

0-150psi fuel pressure gauge
manifold pressure in kPa (engine load)
rpm
speed
ignition advance
coolant temp
gear indicator

the cluster has 4 "pages"
on each page you can have up to 6 items displayed (the gear indicator only does gear)
built in sequential shift lights
4 separate programmable warning lights

noticed my fuel pressure was only 30psi so I bumped it up to 50 static. car runs a lot better now. (I may bump it up to 55psi static pressure)
brakes work great. I'm a bit more cautious because I know I don't have immediate lock-up stopping power available (REALLY have to stomp on the pedal to do that) so I am going to upgrade to wilwood front brakes but swap the 3.54in^2 calipers for 4.80in^2 calipers (this will increase my stopping power at the downside of increasing my pedal throw slightly)

I broke the throttle cable last night and it stuck open on me. that was fun. car is fine now.

so far so good. car runs great, and despite all the crap I've F-d with, its pretty reliable =)

photoshoot tonight.

From what I have read its designed to take its information from a Haltech ECU so how did you wire it up to work without their ECU? I have been looking at it as an alternative to $600+ in gauges and it fixes my issue of the stock RPM gauge not going high enough but dismissed it as a wiring nightmare.

Love the progress and your willingness to just try things, keep up the work.

Racepak makes a OBD-2 link that will use the display and feed directly from the datalink connector.
