Tink, when APR sent you the splitter, did they include the struts that you had to fit? And any possible pics of where you fit them?

Nice pics! Great little spot.
Just seems to fit the car perfectly.
Took a trip down to Oldskool's to swap PCMs(another stock 04 L61) and do alittle tuning. As Evilution said, i took alittle detour and met up with him before hand.
The KGM "twins". Both are black abnormally supercharged 1SVs with LSS kits.
1st impression of the PCM swap. Didnt change a thing. We were still getting ~40-50 write times per flash with the "new" PCM and on Thursday i'll see if the battery is dead again. I am now leaning towards the BCM and am thinking that it'll have to be a dealer installed item. I am not looking forward to it.
But if i remember correctly the car is running ~11.5 AFRs, ~16* of timing, and no knock. I am keeping an ear open for a dyno day so i can get some numbers. I'll be happy with 250whp/240wtq.
Pretty sure that TVS is giving you all the issues...we better swap blowers to find out
I'm definitely thinking the BCM is the source of your electrical gremlins, especially with the ridiculously long flash times you guys have always seen. You've been through a few pcms with no change, and I'd imagine a wiring problem wouldve presented other issues by now.
Nice pics both cars are amazing !
Missed the part about dealer installed...
Kyle just swap BCMs and go...only have to visit the dealer if you want your mileage transfered over. Outside of that, it shouldn't be an issue if Ryan has VATs turned off, which I'm sure he does. And if not, pass lock relearn and done.
Just placed an order for an Aeromotive AFPR. Now i just need to find one of my spare fuel rails and prep it. If i am unhappy with the dyno numbers, the 3.1 will be going on.
Grabbed this guy from the junkyard.
It is a LK9 head, not a LSJ.
It is time to start to slowly gather engine parts.
If everything works out i should be picking up a replacement project car this weekend. The cav will still be getting the built engine, but that will be it for this car.
this is what i keep telling myself...Ive been waiting on my new project car since early January but title issues with an out of state DMV is holding things up (for over 7 months now!).
but i keep saying 'once this engine goes back into my cav, thats it for her'. then i buy a rear disc swap, rear lips, complete lsj (vs brand new l61 i could have gotten), all the necessary parts for an LSJ, etc.
it never ends. i need help.

The cav might get resurrected after the new project is finished, but that'll depend on how crazy i become.

What are the differences between the LK9 and LSJ heads? The cams are a tad different right?
"In Oldskool we trust"
Yes, slightly different cam (higher duration in the lk9 I think), and the lsj intake side is tapped for m8 threads as the lk9 comes m6. Other than that, identical.
Around here, lk9's go for drastically cheaper than lsj's. I bought my whole lk9 with 40k miles for less than half of what I was finding 80-100k miles lsj's for
yeah and after having multiple intake manifold bolts break in the head on me even properly torqued using custom hardened steel M8/M6 shoulder bolts, I wont ever recommend a supercharge install without tapping the M6 out to M8 on the LK9/L61 or just getting an LSJ head. At least on a modded M62 set up..if I ever went TVS it definitely wouldn't even be a question!
Last week I just went and extracted a few broken bolts from a friends 05 NA cobalt that had a supercharger setup installed on it last year. Though it didn't help they used M6 bolts all the way through and not even shoulder bolts..thats just stupid. With the added weight from the manifold and blower and the torque alone, the LSJ head swap would be a great investment. Monograt has a nice LSJ head complete for $300 shipped on css.net right now

Well bad news on the 03. I dynoed it yesterday on a dynojet. 220whp/199wtq with AFRs plunging off the chart(tail sniffer stopped reading at 10.3). IDK what to think, in my mind the car feels better than 220whp/199wtq and i havent had the wideband gauge hooked up do to the gay way we have to jumper it into HPT(LC-1). The last round of tuning was done in June and according to the wideband AFRs were mid to high 11s. Part of me is wondering if it is worth it to continue on with it and the other parts is ready to rip all of GM fggt gay ass electronics out of the car and go to a full standalone.
Plus i still have the parasitic drain and the Hankooks are needing to be replaced. They still have good tread, but i guess they are getting too old and losing grip. I had 2 nice(calm and controllable) 4 wheel slides during a spirited run.
