Welp it finally cranked. The clutch safety was not getting engaged by the damn pedal! Wth! The bump stop on. The back of the clutch pedal doesnt even reach the switch. Looks like we have to modify that. Thanks all who have given input!!

Or connect the wires and bypass
Still surprised you couldn't hear the fuel pump... you might have more than one issue but solved one while troubleshooting. Just seems weird that you couldn't hear the pump...
The fuel pump was probably not engaging because of vats. I'm sure he will be fine once he does the relearn.

Starter issue fixed, a wire came out its crimp. After many relearns the car still will not fire, specifically, the injectors are not firing. I have been doing all these relearns in my 2k auto pcm. A few people have said as long as its 2k+ then it shouldnt matter which pcm is in there, it should at least start.
Im just scared to drive the car on a stock 5 speed pcm that is not tuned for any kind of boost at all. I know i could stay out of boost with it in, but i still do not think it will run right if it happens to start and run with the untuned 5 spd pcm.
Thoughts?

Put the manual PCM in. It will be fine to start it.
Do you still have the original key switch in the car?

The key switch I have in there is not the original because i switched out steering columns. The key switch is from the 2k donor car, and the steering column is from a 97 car.

Check that, I did NOT have the key to the donor car because he could not find the key.
I am using a 97 key and ignition switch I believe. Is that my problem you think?

I had no issues using a 99 key when i did the 2k+ wiring swap.

^^ Yea when I did the 2k engine swap back in the day from a 97 I kept the same key and everything, so this shouldnt be any different. Darren also said the key makes no difference a while ago.
Ill try the 5 speed pcm and try to start it right off bat, if that doesnt work ill try the relearn on it.

I know some people have had good luck with not switching key switches, but I'm telling you on a couple cars we had the exact issue getting spark, but no injector firing, and when we swapped key switch it fired right up and then theft lock kicked in.
Theft lock does not kick in until the car actually starts.
I'm putting alot of money on the key switch.

Wait, all this time you have had the pre 2k pcm in there? I told you to put in the 5 speed 2k+.
That will probably solve the issue.
I'm starting to think I cut a lot of corners when I did my 5 speed swap lol
Darren i never had a pre 2k pcm, its always been a 2k one on my auto set up because it has the GM sc flash on it. I may have told you wrong previuosly.
John. So if that is my issue what do i do now about the key and switch?

You do NOTHING about the key and switch. That's not the issue.
Alright well just relearned the manual pcm and still nothing. Think im done with this thing unless something magical happens.

I have one complete set of keys, ignition lock, door locks, and truck lock....but I rather not part with them. I rather have you borrow them, if you really need a set to test.
