Random acts of Satch

Man it has been a good long time since I started a thread, but I think this is more fitting then the "do it for the likes" world of facebook or instagram.

I'm going to just make this a little dumping ground for whatever sort of updates I have on Satch from here on out.

We'll start off here, picked up one a ram air hood a little while back and some new to me wheels.

First bit of rust on this car after my nearly 20 years of having it.

Obviously I can't allow the cancer to spread, enter Tyler Wudstrack and my 11 hour round trip memorial day weekend.

Unfortunately my phone didn't want to keep the picture of Tyler forming the new panel so we will skip straight to the cutting. No bondo was used, only spot/glazing putty to smooth the surface over the weld.

Out with the old

Skip ahead a little bit past some trimming, test fitting, and what not, new piece getting put in.

Hood got some love too while we were at it.

And how the weekend finished up

Still plenty more left to do so this will get some updates as they get finished up.

I was excited to see updates from you, but sad when no pictures show up..

I did see Tylers post with his work, which looked good.

Let me know if they show up now.

There will be more updates, slowly but surely.

Full on monster truck status right now.

Whats in the trunk will solve that though when I get time to toss them on.

I approve of this... even though it’s clearly photoshopped 😁

Nice work! I need to do some work to mine. Debating driving it this winter or just junking it.

Nice work on that rust.

Any plans on the engine?

Actually have a supercharger setup sitting in the basement for it. Just waiting on time, the heat exchanger, and some gaskets.

Thanks Jason, the car is still rough pictures hide many things. You should get back into it, these things are basically classic cars at this point.

Slowly though the old satchmobile is getting back into shape though. Paint is the last priority I have working on all the fiddly bits in the mean time.

Since I'm here I might as well put up some form of update.

Snagged these paper weights for a price I couldn't refuse.
