new pics with Eibach Pro-Kit and KYB AGX...

well, i finally pieced together the suspension that i wanted. in the end, i spent about $650. that price included $385 for the KYB AGX's, $150 for the Pro-Kit springs, $100 for all new mounts, and miscellaneous other expenses like wheel studs and lug nuts.

for those of you that don't know, the Eibach Pro-Kit lowers the car 1.4" all around. the KYB AGX struts/shocks are 4-way adjustable in the front, and 8-way adjustable in the rear. there is a small dial to adjust the stiffness settings that is easily accesible in both the front and the rear. i have only experimented with the settings a bit so far, but I absolutely LOVE this setup! i never should have bought those crappy ebay coilovers, but oh well, i had to learn the hard way i guess.

anyways, on to the pictures!

the ride is definately improved, and it handles 5486711009494 times better than stock. after feeling what a nice suspension can do for a car, i think i'm going to invest in some more suspension mods... (can you say rear sway bar?)

ts: i bought the springs used from xOPETHx her e on the ORG. hit up the classifieds, they're useful. i was mostly surprised about the cost of the AGX's. most places list them at about $450-475, and i got mine for $385 shipped to my door on eBay.
looks great man, i need to switch out my shocks, and depending on your opinion of the AGXs, i'll either go with those, or with the Konis....let me know how they are, man.
the car is off getting an alignment done right now, but i love these AGX's. the only stipulation is that they are only under warranty for up to 1.5" drop, however, with the pro-kit at 1.4", i sit just fine.

i'm just surprised at how low my front end seems to sit compared to some of the others on here with the pro-kit....
well, i think it will take some adjustment to find the best setting, because you can adjust the front and rear struts for stiffness, and i don't think i've found the best combo yet. also, it will probably be different for everyone.

overall, these parts are definitely worth it.

hey dude, i just did the same setup but i came to a problem.
my back setup came up fine. my front setup the spring dances around. the shop that put it in said that the spring is too small. so evertime i turn all you hear is a clunk sound. what did you do to fix that.?

"$100 for all new mounts"

You're strut mounts are bad ^

I got this same setup in my closet waiting for spring. I too was foolish and went with Dropzones on OEM struts, but then learned on JBO... big mistake.... can't wait till no more salt goes in the road.

yeah, probably need new strut mounts, or new upper spring seats or something. go down to your local GM dealer and get a printout of the front suspension so you can see all the components needed, then hit up your local junkyard or auto parts store to find everything you don't currently have.

gettin' organizized...

ok now my questions what do you between the top plate and the spring and the spring and the bottom plate??? do you have like cushion there like some rubber ring or something? and did you need to use any extra nuts or bolts or something for the front setup to sit perfectly and tight???

i have the same setup but mine front springs are dancing around like hell. theres no cushion between the spring and the top strut mount. and the spring and the botton plate

on the bottom there was just a rubber ring that the spring sits on, but on top there is a upper spring seat between the mounts and the spring. basically looks like an upside down top hat with the center cut out. it fits up against the strut mount and the lip holds onto the top of the spring.

i would get that taken care of as soon as possible, because you don't want to damage your new suspension.
