I kinda fell out of love with my car for a bit. But I've got a renewed interest in it and I'm focusing on the little things. So I'm tinting the tails and side markers. Need your guys opinion on what color of rims to go with. I want to go black, but should I go all black, black with red lip or black with a chrome lip.

I think you should black out everything on it!

any ideas of what style rim you want to go with?

Isn't this the car that had the huge chrome "Sunfire" stickers down the side? If so, It looks 1,000,000,000x's better.

Yes its that Sunfire haha. I was looking for something similar in style to whats on their now. I would just paint them but they're badly bent and scuffed up. And to j2silver .. define "everything"?

did you clear after the nightshades?

No, they're still sitting on my table. Should I clear coat them?

yes. i never cleared my rear bezel and it's showing the winter pretty terribly, i'm going to have to redo them this spring.

I sprayed the nightshade on about 3 hours ago. Would it be okay to apply the clear coat now?

Finished product, I'm not too keen on how the tails turned out but I'm sure I'll stick with it for a bit. Also finally got the balls to take the dealer badge off. Also they look kinda out of place cause the rest of the car is still dirty.

i think id go all black on the rims!
and i bet the dealer sticker being off cleaned it up alot huh?

id clear em after u get finished tinting them, and murder her out.

Yes, clear the tails. an gloss black wheels would look really good.

Yeah I would wash it but it just gets dirty again in 2 minutes with the weather this week. Thanks for the suggestions on the wheels guys, I've been leaning toward gloss black myself.

By everything, I mean paint anything that is non black, black lol. If I had a black j-body that's what I'd do for sure.

You should definitely clear them and wetsand or use rubbing compound to get them to a nice uniform glossy finish. I feel your pain with the dirty roads... im from NL and the intermittent rain/snow/hail/sun gets frustrating. Where you located in NS?
