I know that SFI means Sequential Fuel Injection but what does it do ? Is the fuel sprayed into the cylinders one by one ?

lol no the injectors are in the intake manifold right where it meets the block. it is a form of multiport injection i think all it really means is exactly what it is called, it squencially lets fuel as each cylinder is on an intake stroke

Yes it is sequential and it fires the injectors individually . Well at least until you hit a certain RPM range then it switches from sequential to firing 2 injectors at a time . The stock PCM is only sequential at low RPM's .
