Random post, but went to the track a little while ago and ran a 13.3 @ 106 mph and 13.4 @ 106
Previous best without the comp cams: 13.8 @ 101.5

Stock clutch, random sumitumo tires and stock bottom end.

Nice...

Did you get the blower cams?

Are you HPtuned or GM reflash? Retune after cam install?

Half a second and almot 5mph improvements - that's some serious results for just cams - nice work

yeah, hp "tuned" before and adjusted VE after cam install. No dyno tuning done all street tuning.

nice, how to the new cams make it feel? does it seem to respond better all around? i was going to do those but decided on nitrous instead since it was cheaper, ive been wondering how it would have been different if i got the cams.

looking into the cams myself. what kind of valve springs are you running? what kind of RPMs do you turn?

Re: 13.3 @ 106 mph

Supertech 78lb drop in springs and rev it to 7k rpm

Night and day difference with the cams, at about 6500 rpms it actually pulls hard, before the cams the power seemed to level out.

idles crappy... but you learn to deal with it.

its impresive compared to the supercharged LD9's (kicking myself for saying that but its true) but pretty consistant with a lot of other ecos that have a good tune /cams.

not trying to be a dic@..well there is a difference between having a supercharger only being able to run 10 lbs of boost non intercooled.and one that can run 15 lbs of boost through a heat exchanger....its like taking an ecotec and running a non intercooled 10 lbs of boost from a 16g then running it through a intercooler with 15 lbs of boost obviously its going to be faster.....i think brad is on herew enough to know the difference he was just complimenteing tom for having one of the faster times we have seen from the eco s/c......

understood. and i was comparing it to the m45, not the m62. theyre still great times for any cavalier; i was mearly saying its not unheard of for similar mods.
