Did you go the sc route, or the turbo route? What all mods do you need to support that without detonating your engine?

Personally im supercharged, but many are turbo as well. Like I said mine and many others bolt the kit up to a 100% stock motor. With proper tuning you can run in the 250-300hp range.

Id just be scared to get into the throttle considering thats a LOT of compression going on with stock internals. How much boost do you run, and do you need any other supporting mods?

I see that you have been brainwashed. Boost + Compression is a very good recipe.

Im running a 2.9" pulley(~13psi) on a M62 and will be running atleast 10:1 with a Harrop HTV1320.

Its always been.my understanding that boost + compression is a good recipe to push your rods though the oil pan. Youre saying you can everyday drive it, and race it on a stock bottom end?

I ran 12's on a stock bottom end with a turbo...

That is what myself and countless others have been doing. The car will feel better out of boost with higher compression and you will make power easier. You will need the tune to better than with lower compression and might need water/meth injection, but the benefits are worth it.

That is just not true.

The deal with high compression and boost is detonation. This can be controlled by proper tuning (to a point).

The stock rods of a Eco seem to be very strong. People have made over 300 wheel horsepower on stock Eco's. The Piston ringlands seem to be the weakest part of the motor in stock form.

Regardless you can do a supercharger and if tuned properly you will never reach the limits of the stock motor.
