Tapping into RPM read
Thursday, October 11, 2012 3:06 AM
I have the 3800 swap in my 94 cvalier. But it's obd1. I'm wiring in my data logger and need a rpm signal. I tried the correct wire off the ICM but it appears it dosnt work from the swap. Is there somewhere else? Possible to tap into back of gauge cluster? What wire?

Thanks for any help!
Dale

Wouldn't you need a tach adaptor since there is no dizzy on a 3800s/c?

I use the icm wire for my tach signal and it works just fine... are you sure you have the right wire? What year harness are you using?
