Hmm looks like JBP is going to take some business from HP, due to this is taking way too long..

I doubt it. I'm not going to give a company $500 and then have to send my ECU to them everytime I had a part to the car. The nice thing about HPtuners is they've been around for awhile and it's plus n plsy through the OBD2 port. No wiring. I think someone would be crazy paying JBP when for like $75 more you could have an Emanage.

Here's my view on the whole, do us first, don't leave us out...type deal.

Eco guys...this is a tough one...most J tuners with eco's still owe money on them. They have a lot of debt, some can handle it no problem and still pursue heavy modification. Not to mention eco potential, definitely something worth doing.

2.4 guys...there's a bazillion of them. There's MANY turboed, probably in the 100's, and how many more are to come? Most of these cars only owe small amounts...if they're not paid off. I think is probably at this point, the most tuned J engine...simply because of all the available model years.

2.2ohv guys...seriously...I bet its less than 5 that are better than 15's. It takes a lot of work to get there, and to get to the point where you'll need this kind of tuning, takes a lot of money/effort. There's just not that many people that tune a 2.2 to that level. I don't see a point in doing these engines at all. If you did all 5 people that are running better than 15's....you got 2500 bucks to pay for the R&D you did....

Sorry for hittin so hard against the 2.2's...granted I'd love for us all to have the same equal oppurtunities, but it just doesn't make sense from a business standpoint.

I've been watching this post for almost 2 months and I am simply amazed.

Does anyone really think HP Tuners is reading this?
I seriously doubt it. So no amount of lists or bitching is really going to make any difference.

I would make sense to me that if everyone realIy wanted to get their attention, then everyone would go to HP's forums and post the same thing.

I would straight out say everyone should do exactly that except... currently I am totally unable to access anything all of HP's site, let alone the forum.

todd several of us has been on HP's site and bitched about getting shoved aside so they can do the program for the LS2 motors

all though i cant say if complaining to them is good or bad , but it will push them to either do it , or for them to tell us all to beat feet else where cause we bitched about it

Well Keith responded tonite and said that they have been doing the research for the ecotecs, so atlest thats some sort of good news.

Although it doesnt help my 2.2 out.

Totally agree with DropTop here ... but you know they are going to focus more on the Ecotec because that seems to be the new "hot" thing for GM.

I could really use a programmer for me 2.4L to improve on all the mods I have in there, and I am not going to pay $500 then send it in everytime it needs to be adjusted.

Shifted is on the right path and seems like he knows what he is doing!
