DOES ANYBODY HAVE A 97 AUTO SPEED DENSITY FILE THAT I COULD HAVE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive scanned 4 PCMS and all turned out to be TPS based.. Im getting so sick of trying to find the right tune for this car, ive got 1 more 97 pcm to scan this weekend.. This is probably my last option for a long long time..

I really do not think any 97's autos have speed density. I think only the 5 speeds do.

Can anyone confirm if the 97 2.4 sunfire autos came with the speed density or not? I'm dying to get my car tuned and without speed density, I can't do sh**.
I still have 1 auto 2.4 ECU to check. I have checked another, but was not one. The one I have left to check will probably be a while, because we tried once and could not get power from the dataport, but a hand held scanner worked. It is not the top of my list right now. I'm starting to think the connection to speed density (if there is one) is with the cars that had only 1 O2 sensor. I have tried a early year 97 (no luck), later year 97 (no luck). They both had 2 O2 sensors. I'm sure there has to be some kind of link to the speed density thing, and not just totally random.

I tried four 97 ecu's and no luck.. I just said F it and put in an 01 gm s/c'd ecu and tuned that for my turbo setup.

if you are correct in thinking this, then mine may be. i will contact shane as he is the guy who tuned mine.i have a 97 4 speed auto with a single O2 sensor. im pretty sure he mentioned that it was speed density based, but i will ask to double check. if it is, maybe he can post up my file.

i cant remember if you said my car is speed density based or not, but i think you said that it was. apparently a lot of people are looking for speed density based 4 speed auto tune files. if it is, im sure alot of people would appreciate you posting up my tune file. just post the stock file up if it is as they can always modify it as they need to or give them the link in the repository if you have added it to it.

looks like we found another unicorn.
this is, in fact, a 1997 Z24 with the 2.4 LD9 and 4 speed 4T40E automatic transmission WITH a speed density tune. it is as well a single O2 sensor equipped vehicle.

I just checked the tune repo and there are no 97 tunes at all.. does anyone have the 97 5-speed SD flash?
