3rd gen Cavi carbon fiber eyelids - don't bother with tabasco racing, they'll be on backorder forever - order em through www.carbonbydesign.com

Also got a lot of other carbon fiber goodies and they have them IN STOCK

They ship fast and they make their own stuff

Relax dude I like Tabasco racing it's just no one seems to be able to get the eyelids through them - they're great with other stuff

i think tabasco is a great guy with great stuff but he needs to come out with some 95-99 cf eyelids

^^ No he doesn't. He needs to come out with some 03+ cavalier ones first. You guys already have projectors. We got nothing.

Winks has them for the 95-02

Winks is a good company - had a problem with an order once and they took care of it right away.

tabasco - ben - is awesome. He does so much stuff with CF. Like the dashtop hes working on now is coming out really nice. It may take a while but the quality in the end is well worth the wait. For the eyelids I believe he has sent the mold to a new company to try out. That is the reason for the backorder. Correct me if im wrong ben?! But still its not cool to bash one of the bigger bodies on JBO.

If I remember correctly, the first producer backed out on him. Now he has someone to do it, and I think he's just waiting on them.
I have a bad memory, so I could be wrong.

Anyway, I've looked at carbonbydesign's site, and they are way too pricey. Nothing like bending over and grabbing your ankles just to get some eyelids for your car, huh?

I'll continue to support Ben and the other org businesses, because some things are a little more important to me than how long it's gonna take to get my eyelids.

BTW, The ones Ben makes look better IMO. Carbon's look like you made them with black electrical tape.

Well it does say on the site, due to high demand you will prolly be waiting a lil over a month, how long did it say it would take for your order? B/c I want the same ones, also the ones at carbonbydesign don't quite look as good IMO.

you are completely correct

i couldnt keep up with the demand by doing them by hand, so i was lucky enough to find a company in PA that does custom carbon work. the quality is MINT! once we get our first order in, we will be shipping them out to people who have orders placed already. but if you will notice, no one has had their cards charged until the eyelids ship out, so you dont have any money tied up until you actually get the product. (the exception is a few people who pay through paypal)

as far as the 95-99 eyelids....we have the molds completed. all i am waiting for is the first batch of 00-02 eyelids to come back from the new manufacturer. i just wanted to make sure of the customer service and time frame for them before i sent all of my molds out. once i get some 95-99 eyelids in, ill need some tester cars for them at a nice discount....so keep tuned

and thanks to all of you guys who are backing me up. this is why i love the .org!

Let me ask you something - do have too much time on your hands?
I've never seen a bigger over-reaction in my life to a statement. How did my saying, basically, that you cannot get the eyelids from Tabasco and you can get them from Carbon By Design, suddenly become 'Tabasco bashing'??
I take it that no critique, no matter how small, is tolerated? Isn't this America?
If anyone bothered to read my second post I stated that I LIKE Tabasco racing, and that they have a lot of GREAT stuff.
I apologize if people were offended; as was obvious from the defensive (and some pretty offensive) statements made by several individuals since the first post.
Since when is (basically) stating 'THEY don't have it, but ANOTHER does,' become bashing? I don't know; maybe I'M reading (or wrote) it all wrong. As I stated, if I offended you, Ben, I apologize. Anyone taking the time to read through this entire thread will note that I complimented Tabasco as well.
I run a business myself - I know quite well that production and inventory issues can arise through no fault whatsoever on the seller's behalf.
Just lay off (you know who you are) with the bend over / ankle comments. That's bashing of both Carbon By Design and I, in and of itself. And it was worse than anything I was misconstrued as having stated about Tabasco.
I, therefore, hereby apologize to Ben and Tabasco Racing, if my statement sounded harsh.

Why don't you just insert my name in there? It's not gonna bother me.

I wasn't bashing you OR Carbon By Design, so how about YOU lay off.
Let me make myself a little more clear. Rodimus and I have the same brand of jeans, but I got mine for 10 bucks less. Now, our jeans are pretty similar, but mine actually look better, and still cost less. That means that Rodimus was overcharged.

You're welcome for the explanation.

And Rodimus, before anyone goes off on me for it, I'm not bashing you or your jeans.
