Who has a sliding rag top - canvas or vinyl?
I want to know what size you have and how bad they leak

its not called a sliding rag top, its called a targa top and For about $1000 you can get any thing to fit your roof, and as long as its a quality piece and propery installed it, it wont leak.

Fact 1:

“Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely
true.

Correct me if I am wrng but isnt a targa top like a supra or some vettes, where the whole middle section comes out?

and a slide rag top is almost like a sunroof but instead of glass it is a sun roof with sides open?

actually your wrong. winks has one on his cav. its larger than a sunroof and just like the name, its a canvus (sp?) top that slide back. yes a targa top is like the supra in fast and the furious 1.

^^thats because its jerEmy varner

http://www.j-body.org/members/nvmycav/cars/1/

and winks, jeremy and beth have this done. im sure there are others, but none come to mind.

IMO this is SUPER HOT! i want one so bad, but i would hate for it to leak, etc.

and to clarify....the sliding rag top is what oose posted. the targa top is what a supra has.

People really need to know what they are talking about before they try to act like they know everything.

Kinda like this??

Take it from me.. I wouldnt do it to a daily driver.. I'm on my 3rd top going on my 4th. the next one is going to be a black frame with 2 clear panels.

If you don't drive over 40 with it open, you get it installed BY A PROFESSIONAL, and you get a windguard like from GT Styling (people that make those black-out covers for headlights and taillights) then they last a very long time.

I work at Street Beat Customs, one of the main manufacturers and sellers of Rag Tops.

Also, I reccommend the Inalfa POWER SLIDING RAGTOP!!! They only make one size, but It'll Fit a Cavy Sedan!!!

Get one, but ask for Brian when you call Street Beat, and tell him Ryan L. sent you. He'll prolly give you a discount.

my buddy had a 1977 triumph tr7 with a canvas roof (fairly rare for the car, they're mostly convertibles) and it never leaked. he used the car in the winter and everything. and hell, it was 25 years old

yeah but there is a major difference between a car that is designed with a canvas roof, and one that you cut a huge hole into and toss one in. imagine if you tried to make your car a convertible....
