Opinion's needed on LED driving lights?
Saturday, March 05, 2005 12:48 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm looking at buying myself a GOOD set of driving lights for my 94 sunbird and I was trying to find out what these LED driving lights are like by PIAA

If feedback isn't good about these lights, then which H3 based driving lights by PIAA would you suggest to me?

Remember, I want something nice a bright for night-time highway driving!
Thanks

I will admit, that PIAA can be pricey... but they offer a lifetime warrenty to so it would be worth the price in that sense

^^ I tend to disagree.. i thought the same thing untill i was going thru headlights like nobody's business! PIAA's been the most reliable bulb i've ever to into any one of my lighting sockets on my car. Honestly I have them all the way around. Except in the tail lights.. they're LED's.

As fot his LED drivng light business.. I've never seen then nor have I used them... So i couldn't fully say yay/nay to them. W/o demo'in the profuct first hehehhebut PIAA Xtreme white bulbs are very nice! I have the headlight.. 100 w low beam, 120 w high beam.. and i see anything on the friggin road about 5x's better than the damned "clear or blue" Xenon bulbs out on the market. I had some of those and it was too damn hard to see things.. it was pretty lookingbut it just didnt aide my driving one bit. I know PIAA makes good bulbs and running lights always a good choice.. and yes a lifetime warrenty on the bulbs as long as they arent blow do to installer error or casue by installer error. Then they replace them for free. After i went through 2 sets of headlights in less than a year I bought PIAA's and i tell ya.. it was worth the Extra $$ I've had these things goin on 2 years now w/o any problems!

^ thats the thing, conventional led lights are too dim to be driving lights, but if PIAA is advertising these, they obviously must be much higher quality, thats why i'm interested in these new ones.....
