Hi

will painting my headlight bulb's with krylon glass paint (purple) break easily ?

I have sylvania's cold blue and I whant some purple looking headlight bulb's =)

I don't know about breaking, but check the specs on the paint. It's more a matter of the temperature being too hot and burning the paint. Personally, I'd just get the ED purple bulbs if you want purple. However, they tend to have a fairly short life span. You can send them back for free replacement, but it's just a pain in the a$$ to have to send them back and wait.

not to mention, cops probably wouldn't like the fact that you've got purple headlights too much. they kinda frown on anything other than stock yellow or white.

personally, i dont think its a good idea to paint the actual bulbs.

with some of my buddies, we have taken off the front of the headlights/foglights and painted the inside with glass paint. coat it evenly as you can and keep adding layers until you get the color. i wouldnt go purple either because that color isnt as bright and cops wont like it. but thats me and do what you want its your car. if it looks good to you who cares.
