cavalier duck bill trunk

As some you have seen the photos I have posted on jbn and jbi, I have finally decided to share on it here on the org. I wanted to buy me a carbon trunk but didnt really want to be wingless. I have all ways wanted a duck bill trunk and thought it would look amazing on a cavalier. I picked up a trunk from a buddie and used my stock wing began the process of molding the wing of how i want it to look. i did use a eco wing of course and its gonna use 95-02 tails (ECO TAILS WILL NOT WORK PERIOD) These will be fiberglassed i may do some carbon. I havent figured a forsure price at the moment. On with the pictures!!!!

You should do it with just the third brake light and delete the reverse lights, I think that would look sweet.

I would delete the reverse lights, and turn the third brake light into a reverse light.
That would be different.

Except it's illegal to not have a third brake light. However you could add a few extra lights to the brake light that only activate when you're in reverse.

Little more extreme then mine. I wanna keep the 3ed break light to that's what makes the trunk I think. Idk if I'm feeling the reverse lights filled in too.

Need to shave all the lights... no tails at all, that would look killer.

What if he did shave the inners moved the license plate to the trunk and put some GTO outer tails on it, I think that would look good. And also fill in the stock location for license plate.

Still sanding and working on the inside of the trunk lots of filling to do can't have to many pockets I don't want problems pulling the mold, or the parts from the molds.

Decided on keeping the middle lights if some one wants them filled in they can do that or I could at extra cost.

Nice didn't know you were making a mold of it. Was thinking of doing this to my lid as well.

I will make as many as I can till the mold warps due to the heat of the fiberglass from making the parts. Or till interest falls witch ever comes first.
I would never have done this just molded its weight is in the range of 75-100lbs as of now lol before I started the inside it was a easy 50lbs. Talk about a guillotine if you were pulling something out the trunk, wouldn't take much to bring it crashing down. My rk pro sport weight has done this to me a couple times lmfao

I'll work on the price with the first couple that show interest, if I do not get a good group. After the first couple I may bump it up. To give you a lil better answer
Hoping to have these going in December February the latest.

Let's start a interest feeler just so I can get a idea and put a number out there.

I've run a carbon fiber trunk for years without a spoiler or 3rd brake light with zero issue from the law.

I don't think it's illegal some vehicles come without them from factory don't they?
