Can't say I've used that convo before personally... I usually just stick with urethane based paints and clear... and that usually works out very well.

Lacquer based paints are illegal now in most parts of the US due to environmental reasons. My boss at the body shop had told me that if you're caught with Lacquer based paints in the US you can face heavy fines and/or a suspension/revocation of your business license.

I can get pretty good deals on paints in the US, but I'm not too sure that would be of much help to you. If ya need anything or have any questions feel free to shoot me an email or IM.

Just sent ya an email with those pics Lemme know if they turned out ok.

For a gallon of urethane paint, it really depends on the color you're doing as to th price. Reds or paints with reds in them are more expensive than say a black or blue. Clear also varies with the quality and the "life expectancy" of the clear.

Taking those things into consideration, prices can range from about $200 and up depending on those things, and that includes the base color, reducer, clear, and activator/hardner.

DuPont just came out with a new line of paint that's acrylic/urethane based, which is much longer lasting and has the same types of colors you'll find with House of Kolor, but it's a little pricier... and the "life expectancy" of the paint job is much longer.

I can get you a price, but I'd need the actual name and make of the color. For example:

1994 - 1996 Porsche Riviara Blue

If you can pick a color, I can call the supplier and get a price.

if you can do it for under $150.00 its not gonna be great paint ,i get paint through the shop i work for and it cost me $67 bucks for a gallon clear and pint of activator, $20 for a gallon of reducer ,$125 for a gallon of base blue ,$20 for its activator and that was at his cost so you get what you pay for , if your on a budget look to see if the store your looking to get paint from to see if they have any paint that has been mixed wrong usualy they will sell it cheap, i bought some pearl inferno red that was a shade off from a local auto parts strore for like $35 for a budy of mine and it painted an s-10 2 door blazer hope that helped a litte

I know what I'm dealing with when it comes to paint... I've been painting for years, so I know what paints are good and what paints are crappy. Not totally sure what you may or may not have been implying, but if I have misunderstood I greatly apologize
