Will an 880 bulb work in a 881 bulb socket

I am hoping someone can help me with this. They look the same except for the 881 has the 90 degree curve.

Will the 880 bulb work in the 881 bulb socket?

I don't have an 880 bulb laying around or know anyone close to me who has the 880 bulbs.

I would rather not buy the 880 bulb and than figure out they are not the same.

from what i remeber you can also replace the 880 with 885 and the 881 with the 886. the difference is the wattage is usually higher, so replace them in a pair, or it will look like ass.

880's can be replaced with 881 884 885 890 891 893 899... im sure there's more designations for them, but its all the same bulb.the 89x series have a higher wattage however, so beware of melting.
