Hi, i am currently looking at getting a 2000 Cavalier Z24. It has 75,000 miles on it. It has a full body kit, header,cat-back,cold air,2" lowering springs, and 18's. They are asking $6900 for it. I really don't know anything about cavaliers and i would like to know if this sounds like a good deal. I plan to go test drive it tomorrow, is there anything i should look for. Also would you consider 75k high miles or not. Thanks in advance.
I'd ask for 2 grand off the price and it would be a good deal

Ask about maintenance...esp. water pump, etc.

My opinion is its a very bad deal! Trust me you never want to buy a car after its been done up like that, its probably been raced and abused somewhat, there could be problems with the engine or the tranny and you'll never know about it until you've already had it for a month or so, and 75,000 miles is too high for a 2000. Also if I was looking for a car I'd much rather have a sunfire they are way nicer cars!!! Anyways thats just my opinion hope I was able to help

whatever everyone knows that Cavys are BETTER
anyway, yeah that is alot of miles for a 2000 but then again i have 60k on my 2002 but i keep up maintance on it. but just test drive it and see how it runs and i recommend just putting back a little stash of money JUST IN CASE something happens but i really dont know of a lot of cavys that spend a lot of time in the shop. ( my cavy has never been in the shop for anything except for an oil change

Get a mechanic or inspection service to check it out first....

personally unless you know the guy personally, and you know how the car has been treated, id never buy a pre-hooked up car
its like buying someone elses problems....
I'll sell you mine for that, it's an '01, with just as many if not more mods, and less mileage.
i would not buy it. its somebody else's vision on what a car should be, not yours.
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
HA HA HA You wish, I mean Cavaliers are alright but Sunfire are the BEST!!! Why do you think there worth more then a Cavalier, because they are way better!!!! Dual exhaust, factory tweeters, nice vinyl dash, a sweeter exterior and interior package all around!!!
actually, the reason sunfires are worth more is because cavys sell more. supply and demand. if you sell enough of an item the price goes down because the company can afford to lower the price but if it doesnt sell as well the price stays the same because if they lower the price they would lose profit..

yeah ok there
I think your a little confused , it has nothing to do with supply and demand! Sunfires are worth more because of all the extra stuff it comes with, and the reason Cavaliers are so cheap is because it doesn't come with all that good stuff like dual exhaust, factory tweeters, a nice dash board, and trust me the list can go on and on. Also the reason more Cavaliers are sold is because the people who buy them don't want to pay that much!
