Would you like to help out countless thousands who always come here wondering what is available for their car only to have to search through thousands of forum posts, usually unsucessfuly? If so, we need you.
The Aftermarket Product Guide is a new section of this site, which is just about ready for prime time. It is not fully polished, and a lot of new features will be added to it in the next weeks. It can be seen at:
http://www.j-body.org/products/ At this time only one item is in the database, obviously the Wilwood big brake front kit. You can take a look at it and get an idea of the direction we are heading with the product guide. Basically, it is intended to have absolutely all information available for a particular product - manufacturer and application info, descriptions, reviews, photos, install guides, etc. It will also soon allow members to write their own reviews of products.
If you are willing to help, here is where you come in. As you can see, one product does not a product guide make. This section is intended to have information on absolutely EVERYTHING that is available. I'm a busy guy, I have time to write the code, but there is simply no way I could find the time to compile product information. The same is true of the moderators and everyone else that helps with the site. So your job, if you choose to accept it is to compile absolutely everything you can about whatever products you know about. Any and all photos, reviews, install info, everything you can get your internet fingers on (that is legal to repost, that is).
How to apply: email me at dave (at) j-body.org and let me know what your specialties are. I'm sure several people will be working on this, so the best way would be to divide up the work into sections (ie. one person doing body kits, one doing suspension, etc). So let me know what you would like to work on. As soon as I get everything ready as to what format to provide the information with, I'll email you back and you can start looking.
This section has been a LONG time coming, but it is finally nearing completion. It should be a HUGE help to the community when it is done.

Hey Dave! It's me Skinny J, you know one of those evil bash staffers!!! Anyhow with my postion at Long Motor Corp (the largest restoration and after market truck and british sports car company) I have the abilty and the clout to get info on virtually every product you may need info on, and unlike many others on here deal with these companys, when I call them they call me back (and fast) and will (in most cases) bend over backwards to get me the info I need (thats what happens when I have the abilty to place an order for 1,000 fenders, hoods, bumper etc, on the spot over the phone. So although I may not know all the new J and delta parts availible, I can most certainly provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date info about the parts, as long as you or anyone else on here can provide me with a manufacturer name and product description. However I CANNOT provide anyone with pricing info (not even you Dave
), sorry guys thats confidential and info like that could hurt many of the good companys that are pushing for new parts for us. And finally my info is B.S. free, companys do not jack around with a person who has the abilty to open and close accounts that could in many cases mean well over 100k per year for them.
