I have been seeing these grounding kits on ebay.
Ebay Ground Kit
I was just curious, how in the heck do they think it can create more power, or more torque? I figure it is just a ebay crap thing. But just wondering if anyone has EVER tried that. I could see it taking place of a Big 3, but still it has more leads to grounds. Just curious.
99.9% BS.
In theory, if a bad ground is already your car to run poorly then obviously a good ground will help. If you thing a bigger wire is going to net you extra ponies, then I'd recommend you save your money for a Turbonator.

when i did all my grounds under the hood my car started better and my gas mileage got better.i also ran a ground to the ALT.
and the more and better your grounds are the better your amps will be.less strain.

its not b.s. it can gain you some power, as geeky said its basically just regaining power that was loss. now although they do work heres the reality part. you need to use a multi meter and do some dyno runs to really find the optimum place to find those lost ponies so unless your getting free dyno time its likely to not gain you anything. not to mention all those kits are is just thick gauge wire and connectors that you could pick up anywhere for the same price or less. most people who have stereos will likely have the wire laying around the garage.

The bottom line in my eyes is that a bunch of extra grounding is NOT going to improve engine performance on an otherwise good-running car. I'd want to see a dyno sheet before I believed differently. If the stock ground was already loose or corroded and screwing up ignition and the ECM, maybe then -- but gaining lost power is different than gaining extra power. If that's what you need, then go for it.
Do this upgrade or a "Big-3" to supply more consistent electrical power for something like big audio or air ride compressor demands. Don't do it for expectations of extra horsepower.

Don't worry, I don't fall for the ebay b.s. I figured it was a hoax, just because of the typical. GAIN 5-10HP!.
I just wanted to see your views on it. And yes, I am doing the Big 3 asap, i just did a motor mount so when I have some more time I will get the Big 3 done.
ive seen gains of 8-10 hp and seen the dyno sheets and its one of those fine prints " this is not a typical result" most cars will generally only see a few horsepower gain and talking to the people who have done it, its not worth it if your not running it on a dyno to find out the best results. so unless your getting free dyno time your money will be best spent elsewhere.
geeky, one thing to remember is the grounds on any car stock generally arn't that great to begin with. spending some time doing this you can find better locations and improve your electrical system on a decently running car. but the time involved and the money you'd spend doing it isn't worth it.

I suppose if there's one thing a better battery circuit could improve, it might be better ignition. A strong spark is a good thing. I'm with you on the "not typical" and "time best spent elsewhere" points thought. Your average Joe would probably find more benefit from the usual tune-up procedures. I wonder if I could find an extra squirrel-power or two on my 2.2 OHV.

with all the cars ive done this too including mine and others, but not an ebay kit I have noticed brighter headlights even with stock set up, faster starting. but thats about it.
