The good news about running the Disco Potato Turbo is that is has an internal waste gate. You would need to have a down pipe fabricated. This turbo is good for applications under 350HP. If you want more look into to GT30 series turbos, and look up ATP turbo and look into their ultimate internal waste gate. And if you're looking for a manifold for either the 2.4 or the ecotec, I would look into Vulcan Turbo LLC. They have given me good customer service since I contacted them.

ok thanx i didnt know that about the disco. so is the gt30 series internally waste gated as well?
another question is there a benefit when it comes to turbo manifolds because ive seen the log styles and then ive seen the ones that look like headers( the ones with the larger pipe)? is there a performance difference or just look preference?

Well the good thing about gt series turbos is that you can get them internally gated or externally gated. Its all a matter of preference and how much money you want to spend. Well to answer your question the answer is simple. Log manifolds are good from applications from 150-600HP max. These are perfect for street cars and have proven to be reliable. As far as a tubular manifold, they are mostly custom built and I used in ultra-high performance. A tubular manifold if built properly, can provide more low end torque and HP and quicker turbo spool up as well as be useful up into the 1000HP range. Tubular manifolds will still be better for the street, yet they will cost you twice as much. If you have money to play with, i would have a custom tubular manifold made.
