thats wrong...
that is the atmospheric release if you hook vac lines to it, it will never open... trust me I learned the hard way....
the top one is always left open UNLESS you wanna run a lot of boost

Not according to Tial's install manual....

The diagram says:
"vent to atmosphere or add air for adjustable boost controller" showing how the boost controller goes in line.
If I am reading this wrong, let me know, but that is what I got from the installation chart.
I have the tial knock off and it works the same way. the top one is for the electronic boost controllers ONLY. manual you run inline with the bottom port
DRIVE HARD OR DONT DRIVE AT ALL!!!

When my top one was hooked up with either electronic or manual my boost was uncontrollable and would not stop climbing...
once I left it alone and ran the controller inline with the bottom it was controllable...
don;t ask me why....
When I hooked it up I used that exact .pdf file

^^^I dont see a problem with continually increasing boost....
That is odd that the diagram shows it being used like that, but it doesnt work right....did you have the vent before the fitting as shown??
