Those are welding to the frame I take it?

mount for the swaybar. It seems pretty clear if you go back a page or two and pretent the wood and abs nonsense is acually a 3 piece swaybar, hah.

The swaybar and arms showed up xmas eve day but I just got it unpacked over the weekend. Cant wait to get the brackets welded to the car. Maybe wed night.

I need to cut about 6" off the arms (they come 17" long) and drill and tap the holes for the drop links.

I also recieved all of the aluminum for the new core and bumper supports last just before xmas. And today ordered some parts to build the adjustable lower ball joints for the front.

These showeed up today.

Then I used this:

And came up with this (on a spare test knuckle)

Nets me a 1.25" taller ball joint. Should definitely help the camber curve. I basicaly just need to weld the cup into a plate, and bolt it in place of the stock ball joint. Pretty straight forward.

I also heard my new lift off trunk lid should be here by friday

Trunk lid showed. Its 10lbs as it sits.

The stock lid is like 40lbs. And the hinges, brackets and torsion bars I cut out were another 8lbs. So pretty good weight savings.

I need to order some dzus stuff asap.

Are you planning on using something along the lines of hood pins to mount it?

More or less finished up the rear swaybar setup tonight. I just need a few longer bolts for the endlinks and to finish up the spacers for the lower shock mounts. (so I can use 3/8" bolts)

I TIGd the mounts to the chassis, which was intersting on the inside ones. I had to lie on my back, squeeze the pedal between my knees, and do a couple parts left handed. All in all I think they turned out pretty nice.

I also finally finished cutting out one of the new hub plates. The other had the holes drilled, just needs the outside pattern cut. (yes, I made both of these using the drill press and a jig saw)

This is how it all goes together. The larger hole is where the alxe beam gets welded to, thus moving the bearing up 2.5". MOre to come on that wed night.

Finally came up with an idea for the hub plate gusset and K brace mount. This is just a rough model of what it will look like. I will probably add a horizontal support as well for the tubular boss (as the load from the K brace is ~30 degrees off perpendicular.) I would prefer the rod end mount was in double shear, but I just cant think of a way to fit it all in.

Hopefully this comes together this weekend. Unfortunately I wont be able to weld it until my new TIG torch shows up on monday.
