remove the engine, theres a major weight reduction... you just have to make sure u go down hill to gain speed starting out but let it roll enough and you will FEEL the power in the top end

so maybe the original guy is done with this thread but who cares how old it is if people are still looking at it. I still checked too see how this guy thought he was going to get anything for free. I went through that phase a long time ago and figured the same thing out and thats why my car has had nothing done to it in the past year or so. Sure, we'd all like to have the fastest or best looking cars but like everyone on here said it will require a good portion of your income. you just have to decide how much it means to you. And sorry to all you guys who will get mad and complain that this thread has been over for a month or whatever.

There is a thick sheet of plastic that is added to the car in production.. its underneath the floor board and its around 2-4 inches thick depending on the car.. its there to deaden the sound from the road... i know people who have knocked theirs out, all together it weighs around 300-500 lbs.. i know that lexus's and mercedes have one that is around 6 inches thick.. thats why they are so quiet.. or tahts what i hear.. see if its in there.. also take the bracing metal out of your trunk.. tire jack, spare, everything.. and see what it adds... i don't recommend you try to knock out the plastic but hell, its worth a try.. lol.
