Looking real clean carrie!!!

2 things u might not have thought about doing:

Shorter antenna for the roof?
Check out reflectiveconcepts.com I know they don't have the vibe listed! But, he can do anything for badges! Thought some custom ones would look good on there instead of the red!!!

Just thoughts. Car looks great no matter what!!!

Thanks Matt !

The antenna really doesn't bother me. I actually think it looks pretty good the way it is.

I actually like the red of the arrowhead badges as well. It adds just enough color without being tacky, not to mention, the center caps on the wheels and the steering wheel have red arrowhead badges as well and I don't forsee overlays sticking to the ones on the center caps very well so they're all staying as is. Also, with the demise of Pontiac, keeping the arrowheads red, for me anyway, is sort of a sign of respect and rememberance for Pontiac.

Thanks for the ideas though !

Looks good only thing i would say is to put the plastic caps back on the valve steams. I work at a tire shop and see way to many corrode onto the sensor and then mess them up.

Thanks for the heads up on the valve caps as well. I read that on the package they came in actually. I'm not worried about it though as I remove them weekly to check the tire pressure and the 18s are taken off for the winter, which in my opinion, seems like the ideal time for corrosion to occur. I could certainly see it happen though if someone never removed the valve caps for any reason and drove with them on in the winter.

*UPDATE* Today I added a Sylvania SilverStar 168 (194) bulb to the license marker. It's not quite as white as I was hoping it would be and it's not quite as white as the other SilverStar bulbs in the Vibe, but I'm happy with it. All my white lights on the exterior of the Vibe match now !

Here's a comparison shot showing the stock bulb in my mom's license marker on the left and the SilverStar bulb in my license marker on the right:

Since I had the camera out, I also took a couple pictures of the SilverStar 921 bulbs in the reverse lights (not the best, but you get the idea).

Also, back on 09.26.10, I added 2" blind spot mirrors to the lower, outer corners of the side mirrors because the blind spots in the Vibe are horrible. Those little tiny windows towards the rear are absolutely useless. On a bit of a side note, you can see my mom following behind me in her '09 Steel Blue Metallic Vibe GT .

02.11.11 - TRD forged aluminum oil filler cap & GM rear cargo security shade

02.12.11 - Honda 7" antenna

The antenna is a small change that makes a nice difference. I still am digging it.

Thanks! The Honda antenna looks so much better than the 16" factory one. Plus the Honda antenna matches the look of the XM/OnStar antenna a little better.

Next up is going to be painting the engine manifold heat shield black.

Your Vibe is looking great! I've always liked your style of modding. Your old sunfire and now the vibe, both very clean and subtle!

Thanks a lot Chris! It means a lot coming from someone like you who also has a very clean, subtle car that I love .

I'm pumped... tomorrow I'm re-painting the calipers (they all have some slight chipping), painting the centers of all four rotors (they're faded and crappy looking) and re-installing the 18s for spring/summer! No more ghetto steelies 'til next December !

Sweet! Try that hammer paint. Stuff is tough paint.

Either way. Post some pics!

I get that the Vibe and the Matrix are the same and all.... but the TRD oil cap looks cheesy as hell to me on a Pontiac. Just personal taste I guess.

Thanks Matt! I am actually going tomorrow after work to get a quote for having it powder coating. It just so happens that there are two powder coating places in the same industrial park so I will be going to both to see who has the better prices and all.

The TRD logo has been removed from the oil cap. I would actually leave it the way it is in that picture ^, but there are little numbers engraved into the recession which look goofy. I am currently in the process of having a custom decal made for it. I just couldn't stand the red in the all black/silver/chrome engine bay. The new decal will be much more fitting color and logo-wise.
