The only escort worth driving is a cosworth escort. If you have no idea what i'm talking about download clips from a movie called Getaway in Stockholm.

In fact even if you have heard of it before download that movie or clips of it if you haven't seen it. Thats good stuff =P A 450+HP escort and Supra fly through the city and get the cops to chase them, then lose them. There is also a motorcycle in there that rides a wheelie for about 5-6miles during a high speed ploice chase. Its good watching.

There is no more SVT Focus or Lightning. SVT Ranger? First I've heard of it. Where are you getting this information from?

There won't be a F-150 Lightning in the present gen because the truck is too heavy. Ford engineers said there is no chance of making it better than the last lightning becuase of the wieght issue. It would have to be stripped of alot of weight which cannot be done due to safety issues so no Lightning until the next gen F-150 possibly.

Then why did they bother making a functioning concept?..........

i saw the current gen lightning concept. It was badass
and the heavy truck line is crap.
The new frame handles so much better. And there is a lot of places where they could easily reduce the weight (@!#$ quiet steel, i wanna hear that supercharger whine!!!)
They could easily take their aluminum v10 from their cobra and GR-1 concepts and produce that for the SVT, which may be why they wont have a new one for a little while. I seriously do not see them never making a lightning again, the SRT-10 is out, i think they are just retooling to get ready to blow it out of the water.

Okay Ford made a one-off prototype, that doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot. And every magazine that I have read is reporting the same thing the Lightning will not be produced anytime soon, there are a bunch of different reasons as to why, but they all come to the same conclusion, No Lightning pick-up

Why do they bother making a fuctional concept SVT ZX2? Why do they bother making a fuctional concept ZX2 Tuner? And then not produce either one. They are just retarded.

I've been in both the ZX2 and Cavy. Both cars are cheap plastic. Both have uncomfortable seats. Although, the ZX2 seats look cheaper. Our company has Cavys as a bunch of fleet cars. There is always something wrong with them. The one I drove Friday has 38,000 miles on it and the tranny is shot on it. Don't get me wrong, the ZX2s' auto tranny is just as bad, maybe worse. But you make it sound like it is such an inferior car to the Cavy. HAHAHAHA. Did you even read that article I linked to? That SVT ZX2 was a mean little beast. It was in no way a slow car. Nor would it have any problems in the twisties. Not like the SVT Focus, which is slow but does very well in the twisties. Has a nice interior, but for $18K it needs more then that. The ZX2 S/R is just as quick as the SVT Focus in the 1/4 and with a decent set of wheels in the S/R it can put out similar skidpad #'s.

15 inch wheels not big enough for you A15? Were you driving an automatic?

T3 Super 60 at 8 psi, FMIC, 2.5" charge pipes, HKS SSQV, Ford Racing UDP, MSD coil, SCT Xcal2, B&M shifter, S/R cluster (150mph), Eibach Sportline springs, 19mm RSB, ES bushing kit, Trubendz 2.5" stainless steel exhaust w/ resonator and Borla ProXS, custom LED brake light bar, Phantom Grip.

Rousch is aftermarket, they dont do models for dealers. They basically take your mustang and make it ridiculous, or truck, or focus

Iunno I was watching Trucks on Spike last week I believe and they took out the Roush F-150 on a test drive and the said it was the end of the road for the Lightning.

I was driving a 5 speed with the leather seats. The seats were not bad, just as bad as my Z24. 15 inch wheels are small. I'll won't go smaller than 16's.

I'm not saying that the Cav is a better car than the ZX2. Both cars could have been brought farther than they were in R&D.

You talk about why make a functional concept if your not going to make it. Car companies do this all the time..

We have the Sunfire H.O., Cavalier Turbosport, 252, Technic, ect ect ect

It took 4 dang years just for GM to release the S/C for the 2.4L.

No doubt the Zx2 has potential but it's on it's way out, the Focus (which I hate) will overtake the Zx2. Thats just the way Ford is going to do it.

Ford, just like GM loves to make concepts and not produce them.

As for the Zx2 and why I didn't like it....

Wheels were too small (size and width) for the car
Handled worse in the rain than my Z24
Dash is way to low for someone my size (I hit my knees on everything)
It's smaller than my Z24 on the inside and outside (at least it felt this way)
Zetec output just didn't cut it (I'm not talking about poential, stock form)
5 speed felt sloppier then a GM 5 speed (hard task to do)
The A/C system sucked compared to my Z24
3 spoke (you might count them as 6 but they don't look that way) looking wheels are retarded and 1980's style
Guages looked like crap (brighter in some areas then others)
Made more road noise on the freeway than my Z24
Windshield felt like it was pressed to my face (no dash depth) Prime example of cab forward gone too far.
Engine bay seems tiny compared to mine
Trunk was tiny
Mirrors are tiny (typical Ford Motors same problem on my wifes Mustang)
Brakes felt weaker then my Z24s
Cup Holders were too small
S/R package... I still can't understand what this was but the seats were ok

As for maint. on the car. Not bad. Didn't have ny problems with it. But, I havn't had any problems with my Z24 that I didn't cause.

I'm not putting down the ZX2, but my Z24 seems and feels like a much better car.

You drove the ZX2 with the S/R package? No wonder you didn't like the ride. It has Eibach lowering springs and ES bushings EVERYWERE. I'm also surprised you didn't think 143 hp was enough. Maybe you got one of those poor S/R's with the GRS0 refurbished PCM, which was crap by the way.

I have to dissagree with you about the cup holders. Even though they are small, I have never had a cup come out of them. No matter how I drive, so long as the cup fits in the holder. Any 32 oz drink should.

After a recharge I couldn't leave my A/C on. It would frost up the side windows.

The gearbox is notchy. But that can be solved with a quality synthetic tranny fluid. I use Pennzoil syncromesh.

The brakes on my car are weak. But the brakes on my wifes car are strong. I guess it is hit and miss.

Did you buy that car used?
