sad to see it go man..
we used to chat on AIM ALL the time
btw.. what muffler should I get
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
i still cant believe that you sold it man
but then again i didnt think borgs would sell his car, and look what happened there
either way its the friendships you made here that last forever and dont forget that, you make sure to drag your ass back up here next june
but i am happy to have a piece of that car for mine, i will never get rid of that type j CF insert
Let's not all forget Ian's first foray into Cavalier graphics, lol. Any plans for a new car project Ian?
Well, I will say I am sad to know that car left that garage... the garage that is still probably still filled with many other JBO members stock J parts from over the years, lol.
Ian is one of the best members I have met on this site. And outside of the e-world is one of my best friends in general. Definitely is sad to see it go, and I do hope it found a good new home. I will never forget the Miami road trip in that beast. THAT... was a long drive, lol. And the pizza hut we stopped at outside of Atlanta. Can you say, "scared", lol, but the pizza was GRUB. And good ole Tennesse:
2:49am - Tennesse/Georgia boarder, Dec. 2004
Matt: "Um, Ian, whats up?"
Ian: *Wakes from slumber* "What?"
Matt: "Whats behind us?"
Ian: "Oh, youre getting pulled over"
Matt: "Dude... were in Tennessee, in a Michigan vehicle and I have a California ID"
Ian: "Yup"
Matt: "Do you have your registration?"
Ian: "Um... let me look........... nope"
Matt: "What?!"
Ian: "Looks like you're going to jail dude... g'night" *back to sleep in passenger seat*
Cheapest speeding ticket I've ever had though, lol. Anyway, where was I. Oh yes, "Checkers", yes yes. In all seriousness, this day is sorta inevitable for many of us at the JBO (except Erod), but Ian will go down in JBO lore beyond just being remembered for his car(s). He was one of the first, one of the nicest and one of the best J owners ever. I am going to join your ranks soon enough I am sure. While my J doesnt roll, its still in the same old garage... buried in parts. But, cant say that will last forever. And, when I think about that day, yup, I get sad too.
Sooooooo, what are you going to do with all of that free time now Ian, finally start "Yacel Apparel"?
OH, and I am guessing I missed it, but what replaced it in the garage?
OMFG! I forgot about that Pizza Hut! How about the snow storm going through Ohio on the way back home? No sleep and I'm too paranoid to let you drive. Oh, that was fun.
Anyway, here is the replacement:

In all honesty... I was in tears cleaning it out in the garage yesterday. Kind of embarrassing, but true. It all just kind of hit me at once.
I'm a sap, I know.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one that way about my car
Honestly, I think the emotional attachment is the only reason I still have it. This is the 5th car I've had & it's the only one I've felt this way about. When it's a hobby, something that takes you places & is the way you met people (in my case, my husband), it's more than transportation. It's saying good-bye to a major chunk of lifestyle!
wow Ian, that stinks but gotta do it, did you ever get rid of the white one?
The white 95 went ages ago
I think it was before he made the red one stockish
Trey Latham bought the 95 a couple years back...

Well, the car did go to a good owner. He's been a long time member of J-Body of Michigan and someone I've known for many, many years. Jeremy Harrington, aka Skilz10179. He's pretty well known for his own turbo cavi:

Great adventures we have had together.
Have fun with the new toy, tell Christina I said hi.
Would be cool if you ended up in Colorado, I always wanted to live there...
Take care old pal.

this is a old school story.:
on the way to a bash i think. he blew the thing up on the freeway using nitrous. oil everywhere. Took it to the dealer and got the motor replaced and someone from the forums printed off a post where ian said he was spraying nitrous at the time and gave it to the dealer and they left it on his seat.. That was some drama back in the day. ever find out who did that crap?
Sad to see it go. Been with you on the forums for 9 years now and remember checkers also. . GreenZ used to be my screen name. I wasnt known for too much, but a good post whore i was in my prime.
