this is odd. the temperature here is ~50 degrees. i started my car up CEL went away. warmed it up, beat it a little, no CEL and no stalling. and idling raised to 1000 rpms. could the temperature outside the car been messing with my car?

By dumb luck I came across this post and also from knowing about QBE's issue's with these cams. I only have one question for you guys having a problem. Are any of you using a post cat O2 simulator?

If not i'd suggest trying one just for the hell of it....

Here is something to think about....

Valve event timing will have a drastic effect on hydrocarbon generation, which will affect both HO2s time to activate and response time. It may also have an effect on converter efficiency due to the increased hydrocarbon load placed on the converter. Another area of concern is in idle stability and misfire detection. The roughness that we all like in a cammed engine most likely will be interpreted as a misfire, which will be confirmed by the lack of converter conversion efficiency. So there might be a good chance the using a simulator will not confirm to the ECU that a problem is occuring and perhaps in some cases solve your code issue.
