Just can't make my mind up-CAI vs WAI
Monday, February 28, 2005 7:20 PM
I'm trying to decide between an AEM CAI, and a K&N typhoon or even RK sport WAI...which would be the best out of the three picks? I am so torn between the CAI or the WAI i've read so many mixed reviews on these forums i've got a 2005 ls sport with the ecotec of course and I just don't know which one to choose that would cover both performance and save on gas. Guys help me decide.

i like AEM, but an intake is an intake, they all do the same thing. So personally id go with AEM CAI, just my 2 cents

I had a homemade one and it worked fine. Upgraded to the AEM and it is great. Highly recommend.

Any should be fine. AEM, induction Dynamics, Ijen, RSM they are all good. Really they all yield about the same HP and any difference in HP can be attributed to Location it was done time of year, time, temp if the compared any ot the above intakes on the same day. No one has done a comparison test on teh intakes above just what the manufactures states.

i loved my Injen WAI until I decided I wanted a CAI, so cut the Injen in half, stuck a civic pipe on, polished it, and made my own cold air. I would highly recommend the AEM CAI. It'd be nice if they made a V2 for the eco... but oh well.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

It's all just pipe with a filter at the end to me. I have changed my intake around numerous times. It may not be showy like the aem or whatever but I am about function... Spending that much on a piece of pipe and a filter just seems so pointless to me. But hey, to each their own.
