do you feel stupid opening your doors then pushing them up and getting out? i mean there has been a craze with them lately and personally i would feel like a tard if i got out of my cavy and the doors went up lambo style....i'd laugh at someone if i saw them pimp it like that.

If they felt stupid then they probably would not get them. I have thought about getting them for my car but I am small and it is a pain for me to lift them but my fiance has them on his car and I love them and neither one of us get embarrassed when we open them. It turns peoples heads for sure but I think you are the first that I have heard say they would laugh at someone for it. That is actually quite patheticto even say you would laugh, but then again everyone has there own opinions. Therefore I disagree with you completely.

I'd love to get lambos' because my doors don't have an outer frame and I think would look a little better. Then again I'm selling the Vert. Aren't there some kits that that make them move automatically? Not sure if anyone has spent that kind of cash into a Cavy with lambos' though.

this is how i feel, i don't know what the hell is up mecksters butt. i have just as much right to be here as you do. maybe a show only car but my point was i'd feel stupid pulling up at mcd'z and having to lambo up my cavalier doors just to get out..

there are people here with 3x the amount of cash into a a cav than it is worth, andyou can tell.
I for one have a cav because there are so many half-a$$ed hondas and other cars around here, not many people have cavaliers that are actually done right. If people enjoy modding their bicycle let them as long as they are getting enjoyment out of it.
If you knew much about the lambo kits, almost every kit I know of opens outward like normal, because in order to clear the frame it has to open out somewhat, our cars are not designed to open straight up as a lambo would.
So just be cause people have the kit doesnt mean they will open them lambo style every time they get in and out. <br>
If not the first, I was one of the first people to put the lambo doors on a cavie, which means...i payed a helluva lot more than every1 is now... Everywhere i go, i open em up all the way. Why, because in a parking lot at bestbuy , wal-mart , or the mall, I can almost 100% guarantee you that i am the only one with lambo doors. I'm opening mine up all the way and i make sure people see me. when they do, even though my car is still under construction, i see looks of "damn, thats f-in sweet" . I always have people come up to me and talk to me about them, wanting me to put them on there car, whether it is an escalade or an escort (yes an escort
).
Every1 is entitled to their opinion, unless it is one that is entirely stupid, and then they should be shot, but yours is not, so your lucky. Happy modding...

There is a forum post detailing the installation of Lambo doors somewhere, and in it (which is a GREAT step-by-step, btw), the person actually says that he opens his doors normally like 80% of the time. This is an idea I like. If I feel like showing off, I could open them UP, but for every day use, they could be opened normally. I think it's the perfect solution. I assume there are kits that only allow for UP opening, but the one this person showed went both ways. <br>
