Good afternoon, all. My name is Bob Ashton and I am one of the Show Managers from Championship Auto Shows, Inc. We are the AutoRama/World of Wheels people. Some of you already know me, as I was the Product Specialist for the GM Tuner Tour and I also work with my Son, Ian and the AutoXtasy Crew for the September Windsor (and new upcoming Detroit) shows.
Anyway, my new job allows me to bring something new to the Detroit AutoRama, and I would like to personally invite all J-Body Enthusiasts. There was an awesome showing of J-Bodies in Windsor this past September, so I know you are out there!
We will be adding an all new area to the big Detroit AutoRama March 4-6, 2005. Known as "AutoRama Extreme", this will be a "show within a show" with two distict sections; one devoted to "Traditional" hot rods and the other for the TUNER crowd. The Tuner area is 100% devoted to Tuner vehicles and vendors only. No Nascar die cast or $100,000+ street rods here, Bubba! I have 100,000 square feet to work with in the Michigan Hall.
Anyway, we will have a wide variety of awards 1st-3rd with lots of seperate classes, including THREE for J-Bodies! There will also be many "special" awards and some Celebrity Picks too. As if that isn't enough, we are also throwing in a $500 CASH award for the "Best Club Display".
All judging will be handled by fellow Sport Compact enthusiasts. This section will not be ISCA judged, it will be judged by sport compact owners and enthusiasts. We also have a totally seperate area and our own people for check-in and our own stage for awards.
Special attractions so far include several DJ's, a Bikini Contest, Celebrity appearances and lots more will be added!
I already have several J-Bodies signed up, but would LOVE to have a strong showing.
We have a website set up now, but so far it just covers the basics. www.autoramaextreme.com I am open to your ideas and suggestions! Let me know what YOU would like, so that this show is FUN and a "MUST DO" for everyone.
If you have any questions, you can catch me on my cell 586-549-5291. I will be at the Cincinnati AutoRama January 7-9 and the Grand Rapids AutoRama January 14-16, so if I don't answer right away, leave a message and I will call you back.
Thanks/Bob Ashton aka AutoRama Bob

Welll...kinda. What I mean is that the Chicago World of Wheels show is coming up at the end of the month, January 28-30. We don't have big Tuner Only section like this Detroit deal, but we are having a smaller version for the Tuner Enthusiasts.
If you are interested in this, give a call to the Chicago World of Wheels show chairman. His name is John Langston and his number is 708-354-4014 or e-mail him at langston@worldofwheels.com.
Tell him Bob Ashton from CASI sent ya, and if you sign up, be sure to chase me down when you are there, as I will be there too. Hope you can make it!

Bob,
I have a type j front getting painted right now, as well as the rest of my interior in a "glossy" white. I have also changed my taillights as well. I plan to have seats in the car by march for sure.
My car won't be in any contention to win awards, like jeremy's or Ian's, but it will be nice and clean and fit in well with the j-body's I believe. I'll be in touch.
