Carbon by Design was such a good business to work with. i ordered a fiberglass hood. they called and offered me a B grade CF one, and cf eyelids for the same price! i took it. hood came and was smashed up due to the shipping company. i called and they immediately told me i had absolutely nothing to worry about, it would be taken care of. for $135 more, they sent me an A quality hood! its currently on its way. their customer service is pretty damn good. very easy people to deal with. A+++

Yeha, they are a good company to do business with. Las year I got one of their B-grade carbon fiber turbo sport hoods for $300 shipped to my door. When I got it the only thing wrong was a few small patches of bubbles. Besides that it was perfect.

when i saw fragile or something on a box and i recived it, it was usally smashed....it just isnt a good thing to put on boxes....the fed ex guys throw em around on purpose at the air port.

Either a bad shipping company is being used, or the product is not being boxed up very carefully.
Say for a Cavalier hood, box size 65x65x6 is a good size, you need to foam the hood into the box. No, I dont mean peanuts or such things like that, I mean that liquid foam thingy that you spray and with in 30-60 sec it gets bigger and it holds the hood in place... not a cheap unit to buy, but thats the key to it.. alo some of the higher end shipping companies take care of things a lot better vs the smaller ones...

well at first i paid 600 i think for the b grade hood and eyelids....i dont really remember. its a great deal though.

well, my hood came yesterday, and today i went to put it on, and one of the anchor bolts with the wood to stand it up was at a 45 degree angle, who ever put the thing is was fu cking stupid. so again, i have to send it back. there was also i nick on the corner. and one of my cf eyelids had a little crack so i sent those back. i have @!#$ty luck.

no, i didnt. this time the hood was almost perfect, a few little scuffs, one high spot, and the nick. the bas part was the damn 45* angle screw
i mean who does that to a $600 hood? someone was honestly that careless...then sent it to me!? and idk what happened to the eyelid.....oh well i guess. #3 is on its way soon. mfers.

It says on their website "Shipping: Shipping will be included on your invoice for no more than $150.00 We shop our our freight daily to get you the lowest shipping rates possible. " Which is good, I guess, and bad. The lowest bidder gets the job, whether or not they can adequately do the job, just like the contractors the government hires. Good luck with the third hood (fingers crossed).
Brian, what screw are you talking about that was at a 45 degree angle? I was a little confused when you said something about the anchor bolt with wood to stand it up? Are you referring to the bolts & hinges in each corner of the hood that attach it to the car? Is this bad screw something that is repairable or does it make the hood completely not useable?
it would have been hard to get on, probably would have broke actually. so i had to send it back again.
