It has been almost 4 months since Brian's passing and I'm doing ok, I still have some good days and some bad days. As some of you may be aware, yesterday was Brian's birthday. In January I had gotten tickets to see the Red Sox. At the time, I figured that going on Brian's birthday would be cool. After all that happened, I was rethinking going. I knew that it was going to be a tough day, and wasn't sure going to a game would be good. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to go. I do much better when I'm busy. Sitting home and crying wasn't going to do anyone any good. Besides, I know Brian would have wanted me to go. So we spent the day in Boston, saw the Red Sox win, and had an ok time, considering.
We got home about midnight, and I was amazed that sitting on my counter was a floral arrangement from all of you. That was so thoughtful. I am at a loss for words in explaining how it made me feel. And getting me at a loss is not an easy task. Thank-you seems so simple and understated. I want you all to know that your compassion during this very difficult time has helped to ease some of the pain.
Brian used to talk to me about some of you on here and how much he enjoyed all of the discussions that he used to get in to. You were all a big part of his life.
From the bottom of my heart, I want you to all know how much I appreciate all that you have done for me and my family and for your paying an amazing tribute to Brian.

OMG, I have been away from the org for sometime and when I came back I didn't hear about this till now, I'm still in shock really. You should be very proud of your son for the person you raised him to be. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Mrs. St. Germain, your son was an amazing person. From what little I knew of him personally, it was very clear that he was incredibly caring and compassionate towards others. People like him don't show up much in today's world anymore... and people like that normally only come from the same wonderful families. You did an amazing job bringing up a wonderful person, and he, and your family I know will be in my heart and mind for a long long long time to come.
There's a lot of evils in this world when it comes to people in general (I see it every day, I'm a 911 dispatcher)... and he was definately one of the few people who cared to put others before himself and tried to make a difference. God bless you all and Saint.
just wanted to let everyone know that as of may 27th brian was officially promoted to SGT. for those in the military you know how big of an acomplishment this is to be in the military and be promoted to this rank in only 3 years....congrats brian...and my thanks goes out to jbody as well you have all been awesome and i proudly display my blanket along the backseat of my j and get many compliments and many questions about him and this amazing group...thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
