Info before purchase...
Im trying to be safe here, I was looking for info on how to build my transmission, and I emailed a guy that came into a thread and spit some serious knowledge and he replies telling me that he has his tranny for sale. I wanted to know what you guys think or know about this guy? Trustable? Has anyone heard of him? Im just asking to be safe and to make sure this isnt going to turn out bad... he said he ran a 11.4 with the transmission, so it would be enough for anything i ever do i think, but he is not on the top 10 list in any category in the racing forum... let me know guys! forgot to add that he used to post a lot back in the day, he seemed like an alright guy, i dunno, he was constantly bickering with some other dude but anyways, not sure if hes really reliable or not

He seemed like a cool guy at the 2003 bash, but that was 3 years ago.

couldn't tell you, but I'd say BS... All I remember of him was tazing himself in the nuts and sleeping with his head in Lenko's fridge at the bash.

I deffinately remember him. He made a lot of claims but never backed them up. Said he ran 11's and never posted a time slip, said his engine was built to hell and never actually showed pictures. Honestly, if you are buying a transmission from him, ask for a bill for the build or some kind of proof that it actually has the parts it has.
Can anybody actually back up the internals of the transmission, not just seeing a shiney new trans? What about the bottom end? Anybody ever seen the forged parts or the 1/8" sleeves?
I have always been curious about crash. I believe his motor is still sitting in the Exploited shop.

Never had a problem with Ben, I can say my transaction went smoothly with him

Ben was an alright guy...... I put the top end together on his engine and put it in his car, the machine shop had the bottom end all buttoned up already (with the "GMPP nuetral balance shafts"). He had claimed the trans was fully built, but I could'nt say for sure, never seen the inside of it. I do know he put alot of money into that car. The hood DID flip up and smash out the window, I was there when the window guy came and put the new one in.
As Shifted said, his trans WONT bolt up to your Eco, and you cant just swap bell housings like the 5 speeds.
On a side note, I've been trying to call him...... want to track down his engine, maybe take it off his hands.
