I was an active member of Jbody back in 2005, but got in a serious car accident in Nov. 05. I lost my license for 2 years (started April 30, 2006), so I have not gotten a new car, since I've been recovering and can't drive. I am dating a Coughlin, some of you probably have heard the last name, and she claims to have bought me a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Mr. If she really did I'll be doing some modding and I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with the Lancer or knows someone who does that might know a good forum to join, my expectation of a good forum is set pretty high. J-body.org is the only automotive forum I have ever been a part of and you all were so willing to help, I felt like we were all kind of family.

a couple friends of mine one evos. They arent mr's though. Mods they have done and liked and are happy with are hks cold air intake, hks underdrive pulley and i believe it was a spec 3 clutch. (5000k awd launches are fun but not so good on a stock clutch) Very sweet cars and handle like a dream. Ill ask them what forums the are on if any.

just cause he was in an accident doesnt mean i cant make a joke. i have a friend that was in an accident thats worse than him....he will never have his license, and NOT because he lost it.
since im such a noob.......school me on why he lost his license for 2 years

i apologize to the OP. i think your story just woke up some feelings i had about my friend. maybe i was being somewhat of douche myself since i dont know you, but i was just trying to make a joke.

well when you find the story come back and comment. atleast it was your friend and he lived.

It's great to hear from so many people, I was expecting one or two posts back. I have been better of course, it's amazing to recover from an accident like that. When I had just gotten out of the hospital I could barely walk without stumbling and my brain didn't work very well. Before the accident I think I was a pretty smart kid, but after the accident, before all the rehab, I was like a retard. Luckily I can look back on that and be happy now that I have gotten so much better and laugh. My brain is the only thing on or in my body that was really damaged, nothing got broken, I just have some scars on my hands, forehead and nose. I can tell that I'm still getting better though. As far as the Coughlin girlfriend goes, good guess, but Harrington (Fiber Faber) got it right. I'm not the religious type, but it is an act of God that I am with her. I got on a dating website after the accident, when I still wasn't very recovered, and she started talking to me using her friend's picture. She lives less than a mile away from where I was living after the accident, so one day we went looking for the girl whose picture she was using, because they were actually friends, we've been together ever since that. About the accident, whiteboyz24, I still don't know who was driving my car, I do know I was teaching my girlfriend how to drive stick and we were on our way home from dinner, pretty close to her house, so I think she might have been driving. Typically I didn't go around 80 (that's what they estimated) and as far as I know my car wasn't racing another car, so I don't see any logical reason for me to have been driving 80mph. I do know that my girlfriend was pretty wild and some of her friends think she was or might have been driving. So for now I'm going to say I don't know who was truely driving, it could have been either one of us, hopefully someday I will remember, so I can leave that whole accident behind me.
