my check engine light came on so i went to aouto zone to see what was up .pulled the code P0138 my o2 sensor the 2nd one behind the cat . they cost like 100.00 is it alright to drive the car ?
Is that one bad.
did you hook it up to a graphing scan tool, and watch it, is it mimicing the front exactly or not switching at all, if not than that sensor most likely isnt bad.
People at Autozone arent to bright, dont listen to them.

Did you look up the code?? Alot of people who should know a thing or 2 usually don't.
Yes it is ok to drive the car. It could be the sensor, also could be your cat.

If it is second o2 sensor it will not affect any performance of the car. My o2 sensor has been dad for 6 months, car works good and still get 32 mpg on high way.
if u plan on getting exhaust or header just get o2 simulator it is cheaper then sensor. Check this site there is like $14 shipping

My father in-laws dodge ram just threw the same code 0138 (O2 sensor circuit high voltage(bank1 sensor2) , and I'm researching the problem right now. If I find out what caused it, I'll let you know. Could you also let me know, if you find anything out?
thanks.
