Hi I been having problems with my 2001 chevy 2.4 z24. The car has a problem some times It will start fine, but other times you can turn the key to start it, but nothing happens just the the noise of the fuel pump, However I did take it to a chevy dealer here in Albany NY called Depaula. they said they changed a switch but I am having the same problem again. oh and when I turn the key and hold it for a sec the gauges "like the fuel guage" goes backwards then to its propper place after I let off. Has Anyone had this problem with their 2001 chevy Z24 2.4L ? if you know or had the problem pls let me know what you did to fix it. thanks

if all your connections look good, get a voltmeter on the starter when it is acting up, make sure you get proper voltage on both terminals during "crank", sounds to me like you have a dead spot in the starter though.
