This is why I HATE Michigan...

Hey everyone!

Im not sure if this is the proper forum for this question, but maybe some one can help me out.

is there a way, without respraying the whole car, to repair these rust spots? its not serious rust, just surface. mostly from rocks and dirt flying up. I will eventually be completely re-painting the car, but as of right now i just want to stop the rust from spreading, and stop the paint from peeling/chipping off.

When i do repaint the car it will still be the Arrival Blue, so I was hoping for an option to just kind of patch these and respray the car with out stripping/sandblasting the whole thing and starting fresh.

Any Ideas? thanks in advance.

Try the exterior fourm, but the only advice I can give you is to use some primer/sealer. Use a good quality sealer. Just sand until you see good metal, and mask the area, and spray! You will probably have to purchase a gun as well...

98z24, lowered 2", aem intake, cat-back striaght pipes!, cop ligths in the front and rear, 18" liquid metal's, primer black, tint, full audio and video.

Wow, that looks pretty rough....

Yep, Michigan does suck.

I'm going to have to do a little sanding, as there is a little bit of rust underneath the doors of the wife' 03 sedan, on the drivers rear, and pass. front.

No rust on the 04, yet knock on wood.....
