Ok First off, while i got y'all here, HOW in the name of all things holy do i get to the lights to change the bulbs? and what kind are they?
Now that thats out of the way, Do bulbs get dimmer as they age? The Lenses are clear, and the voltage is correct i would guess, high beams, DRLS and lows all work, just not as bright as i need. Thoughts? I have 9005's and 9006 sylvania bulbs (regular not silverstar) from my honda, they are universal fit so i just need to know how to get to the bulbs.

I'm assuming it's the same as my car. All you need to do is open the hood. And near the very front you should have a black cover that extends from one head light to the other. Take that off and there's two bolts holding the headlight housing ( two bolts for each housing) in place. Just un-bolt those, pull the housing off and twist the bulb-plug from the back of the housing. 9006 should be your low beams and 9005 should be the high beams. .. unless i have that reveresed. It's a little tricky getting the housings in place, sometimes it might line up correctly but it really isn't. Not all that hard though.

On mine, the cover was held down by plastic clips. so becareful when you take it off. I ended up braking the clips on mine so now it just sits there. The only thing holding it down is the hood.
Did you ever get it figured out?
Josh, I hate those clips. It's almost impossible to get them off and not break them, especially if they're old and cold. And, they're used throughout the car for all sorts of torturous tasks. I managed to get one out intact enough to take to an auto supply store to match up with an afternarket one of the same diameter. Found some with screws in the middle that expand the clip to hold them in. At least these are re-useable. Take care. - Mark
yeah i changed them...no difference really. maybe i should try silverstars next. I hate to spend $250 or more on an HID setup. I did that in my New Civic but it was well worth it on that car...not sure if i want to invest it in this one.

The easiest way to remove those clips is to use a flat screwdriver and bent nose pliers. Use the screwdriver to lift each side of the head of the clip slightly, then insert the jaws of the pliers under the head. Use the bend in the pliers to lever the pin out. If you need more leverage, place the shaft of the screwdriver under the bend in the pliers.

i must be missing something cuz ive taken that cover off numerous times and havent broken a single clip (by pulling them out at least)... i just use needle nose pliers and MAYBE a flat had as stated above....
I've always used pliers like the bottom one in the pic and never had any problems with the pushpins holdin the cover down.
As far as an HID kit, check out the eBay seller, lighting623 and check out xrteam for projectors to compliment them. It'll cost ya a little under $200 but you'll never go back to halogens
I bought my lights from ebay. Nokya brand i believe. $25 - $30 bucks shipped am I'm happy with them. They're no HID's but they're a little bright then silverstars.

hey listen before you break all those plastic clips i bought a gm specific tool used specifically to pry those clips off. i bought it at auto barn in ny, but any major auto parts chain should have it. it looks like a screwdriver with a forked prong tip that fits under the head of the clip. you just pull up and they come right off.

Same here... and Ive always used a side-cutters to get the clips out. probally had mine off like 10 times and never broke a clip.
