Like the title says, I've got an oil leak somewhere.
I've got a 98 Cavi with the 2200SFI engine.
I've taken my intake off and found that there is oil in the intake where the throttle body is. It's also burning off on the engine. Given that the leak is somewhere on the engine I can't really get a good look in there since it sits so close to the firewall.
Does anyone have any ideas? This has been goin on for a couple months.
The oil in the intake is normal part of the PCV system. The other leak is probably the valve cover.

Who changed the oil last? It's not uncommon that people dont clean the excess oil off when changing the filter. on the 2200 the filter is right above the exhaust on the firewall side so this could be the cause. as for the oil in the intake, normal.
Did I mention I drive a 2000 Lumina now?-----wigm-tuners.org member

I take it, it would be the gasket then? It appears the valve cover has been removed before (the gasket is orange, whats the stock gasket look like?)
Whats the average price for the gaskets?

Gah, you ninja posted on me
My uncle did the oil when I got it, around April/May this year.
Sorry yes valve cover gasket. They are usually $7-$12, and easy to change.
