My ignition wires are not arcing, but I want to know if the conductivity of the wire is good.
I have OE ignition wires on my (2001) 2200. I tested cylinder wire #4 which has one foot of wire. The ohm meter showed 2.99 ohms. Is that good, bad or okay for 1 foot of OEM ignition wire on our cars?

...dummy^. do ur self and a favour and shut ur mouth. everything i said was accurate. someone who knows how ohm testing works would be able to tell based on the info given. so keep ur pointless "fail" to urself.

Is the dial on the meter adjustable to a wide variety of ranges (20-20,000ohm)? If so, what you need to do is set it for 2000ohm (or 2k if it ereads that) & then test. 200ohm-ft is the max ideal for plug wires, with less being better. Remember: Anything to the left of the decimal point is a full ohm on the setting I told you of.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
