car wont start alarm issue

As the title says, the car won't start. It wont even do anything. It acts as if there was no battery. Nothing electrical works, no horn, no lights, nothing. My dad drives it and he uses the remote start to start the car in the morning. He says when he tried to start it this morning the car flashed the lights once (instead of twice as normal) and it did not start. he tried jumping it but still no power at all.

The car is a 2000 cavalier 2200 with 80k miles, no power d/l or windows. Had never given me problems until now. I think it might be something wrong with the aftermarket alarm on it. It was there when I bought the car. My dad found out that the car had a remote start by mistake 2 years after we bought the car lol!! Does anyone have any knowledge on alarm systems? What should i look for? i disconnected the battery and my dad will try to start tomorrow. Maybe it resets itself or something.

Thanks for any advice!
