So I just dropped in my new engine. The cooling system hasent been modified.New OEM water Pump, and I had to replace the Heater Core Hoses with Pain hoses.

Now My car WONT get over 125*F unless Ilet it Idle for like a half hour.

I thought the sensor was misreading orsomething, But nope....My Heat dosent even get warm.

Whats wrong?!?!?

Well Figured out where the thermo SHOULD be...And its not....

Haha when I tore the engine down, there was no thermo in it, so I thought nothing of it when I rebuilt it.

Going to pop one in tomorrow...Thanks!

I'm more concerned at why you only have 150 miles on this motor but yet you have done at least one WOT pull on it.

Setting the rings per Wisco's instructions. WOT pull Uphill (Load the rings).

You should load the rings, but I would not do a WOT pull. Haynes manual tell you how to load the rings without a WOT pull to set the rings.

Definitely a thermostat issue.

WOT to seat the rings:

I've heard/read opinions from both ways on this. Odds are he didn't hurt a thing. I know I would be very hesitant to use this method, but it sounds like he was operating under recommendations from the piston/ring manufacturer.

Get a proper thermostat in there and you ought to be fine.
