Ok, when I make sharp right turns like a u-turn say when parking i hear a slight clunking sound from the undercarriage. i have a couple of ideas of what it could be but...maaaan i'm not liking this too much. tell me what you think.

could be a cv shaft but thats more of a clicking sound rather then clunking. i know at the shop where i work we've replaced a few of those steering shafts after the customer has came to our shop saying that another shop has greased it before or something and the knock eventually came back. also.. just to throw this in. are you sure the tire is striking anything while turning.eg. the inside part of the wheel well or something?.just a thought. anyway i hope this helps you
cv joint??? differential???
It could be cv axles(usually has a cracking or popping noise), bad wheel bearing causing cv axle to bind( it'd vibrate like a mofo driving if it were this) Innner or outer tie rods, Ball joints, strut mounts or blown strut. Or the universal joint a the bottom of the steering wheel. Those are in order frm the most probable to least.
Also does the car pull by and chance. Or when doing a u-turn bassically on a some what wet road want to skip across the road or slide? If so your camber could be off from a bad strut to a bent on alond with the toe pushing more on the cv axles than what it has to go.
Is it a loud clunk or a faint clunk. Maybe the intermediate shaft needs to be greased again. Just a thought.
it is a semi loud clunk, if i make a u-turn i hear clunk sound, but only going right. my wheel does not vibrate when driving, the roads could be wet dry it does not matter. it does not slide unless i snow drift, which is on purpose when i do that.

sounds like a CV joint, or a bushing somewhere in the front suspension on the left side.
WOrst case scenario, have it checked. I have been driving with clunks and rattles for a while now...car takes a lickin. When spring comes ill put her on the lift and figure out what i need to replace.

Sounds to me like the strut mount binding and causing the spring to pop.
but what it really sounds like, is you need to take it somewhere to have it diagnosed.
