I have 95 cav. with 168.000mi on it the other day the oil pressure light popped on when I stopped at a light every time there after it came on every time I stopped, changed the oil pressure switch and added a pressure gauge when fully warmed up at idle and stopped the pressure was around 15 to 20 lbs. driving it is around 40 to 45 lbs. does that sound normal ? this is also the first time I ever had a gauge on it. yeah, that sounds pretty normal.

whats your pressure when you first start it cold?

It could be a piece of gunk on the sensor or blocking it. Could also be the wiring having a break in it.

Usually the oil pressure starts out at 60lbs. when it's cold, normally I add a quart of lucas with every oil change
